Can Ubuntu reach over 16,000 anime lovers in April?
A Good friend of mine sent me this via a twitter post. I read it and I thought it is cool. I am a long time user of ubuntu linux and an otaku. I figure that people should know what this is all about. Read on for the full article.

My Cosplay is fully complete. I have used it this past weekend during the NY Anime Fest. The Cosplay was a hit. I was the Earl. My buddy Moroii was Tyki, Bone Daddy and Dekkard were Lab Assistants, Drakenfyre75 was Lou Fa and Illzev was Koumi. Ahoy Everyone;
Naota is here and I am back from a Totally Awesome and Rad weekend. My week started on Wednesday of Last week. Picked up my friends Moroii and Dekkard and Hung out with Drakfyre75, Zitro, and Elemental Irid for a while. During that day, I noticed my wheels were grinding as if the breaks were metal on metal. That was a bad sign. My breaks started to fail.
The next day, Moroii, Dekard and I stopped to get my breaks fixed. That cost me a little over 300 dollars. 350 to be exact. But That was something that had to be done so I didn’t mind having to spend that money. However,that really put a damper on the upcoming weekend events. This simply means that I would have less spending money for the Anime Festival. This really pissed me off but this was a unforseen circumstance so I had no choice but to get it fixed or I would be up shits creek without any paddles.
Anyway, after getting that repaired we did some last minute running around. I was able to get my suspenders, and some other last minute items for the Millenium Earl Cosplay.
Friday came and we picked up bonedaddy and we got some last minute supplies at columbia costumes and then proceeded down to New York City. Once arriving to the city. Drakenfyre75 and Illzev greeted us and we dropped our gear off at his place and then went to Johns Pizza for some Zaggat Rated Pizza and then went back to Illzevs place. We played Magic the Gathering and horsed around for a while before going to bed.
At 7:00 we started to wake up and get ready for the convention. Moroii and I had to put makeup on and then get dressed. After getting ready we proceeded to the Jacob Javits Center for the con. WOOOOT. It was fun. We got in and waited on line. While on line Lero Broke. The battery broke off the voice box. I was pissed but that happens. Anywho, 10 am rolls by and we go in. Lets say the masses moved in and the fun began
We saw many many things. Alot of great cosplays and what not. We didn’t get a chance to go to the booths to buy stuff mainly because we were getting hammered. We got hammered by people asking for our photos. So, we did that. We went around the convention floor and had our photos taken. We took photos and then some.
After the convention, we left back to illzevs place,changed clothes, removed makeup and went to the westway dinner for dinner. that was a good time. We ate god food and rmember the days events. Once the dinner was over we went to Toy R Us and The M&M store. Walked back to Illzevs and rested.
Sunday, We woke up at 11 am, packed up, went to Forbidden Planet and Midtown Comics, then went to White Castles. I ordered 3, thirty burger suitcases and we had lunch. After lunch Moroii, Dekkard, Bonedaddy and I caught the 4:52 train back to beacon and then back to my place. We took the photos off our cameras so they can be put on the web. Next, we dropped off Dekkard and Bonedaddy. came back to my place and started to work on the photo gallery.
The gallery didn’t co-operate with me. It got to the point where I had to take down the gallery and wait till monday.
On monday, I dropped moroii off at home, came home, took a nap and started to fix the photogallery. once the gallery was fixed I was able to get the rest of the photos from Drakenfyre75 and post them.
